Which formats are supported?
Native formats written here: Photoshop .abr, Procreate .brush and .brushset, Clip Studio .sut, Krita .kpp, and GIMP .gbr, .gih and .vbr, in any direction. MediBang has no brush file of its own. Converting to MediBang produces the tip image and a settings sheet its brush editor accepts. Affinity, Fresco, Artstudio Pro and Procreate Pocket are also compatible, they read some of these files through their own importers. Full app compatibility.
Can I just get the brush tip or grain as an image?
Yes. Tick “Also include the tip & grain as .png images” before converting, and the download contains them alongside the converted brush, whichever format you pick. Tips arrive as transparent .png files ready to import as a brush image anywhere.
Will the brush feel the same?
Yes. Every setting is written into the new app’s own brush engine. If an app is missing a feature, the result screen names anything that had to be adjusted. If you notice any issues, please submit feedback.
Is it free?
A free account includes 3 conversions a month. Pro ($7.99/mo) unlocks unlimited conversions, 100 MB files, and batch processing.
Can Brushfactory make new brushes?
Yes. On the Create tab, describe the brush you want in a few words, or build it by hand with the tip, surface, and behavior controls, then download it for any supported app. A free account includes 5 brush creations a month.
What happens to your files?
Files are converted and immediately deleted from the server. They are never kept or shared.
Can purchased brushes be converted?
Yes, for personal use. The original license still applies. Please do not redistribute the converted copies.
